Ed Kroll
Ed Kroll serves as the Director of Philanthropy at the Housing Partnership Network (HPN), where he leads the cultivation of philanthropic partnerships to leverage grant resources that strengthen the affordable housing sector and the residents our members’ serve. Since 2021, this has included the oversight of 60+ grants covering a range of areas such as housing stability, adaptive reuse, asset building, housing innovation and more. He also oversees the annual fundraising and sponsorship strategy.
Before joining HPN, he served as a special assistant and project coordinator in Urban Institute’s Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy. In this role, he provided both research and project management for the Center’s strategic partnerships with the Citi Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, along with other initiatives focused on charitable giving and philanthropic strategies to advance social and equal opportunity.
Earlier on, he served as the director of sustainability for the State University of New York Student Assembly and a lieutenant governor for the New York District of Circle K International. Kroll graduated cum laude from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a B.S. in environmental studies, concentrating in policy, planning, and law.
