About Catholic Charities Housing Services

CCHS is a private nonprofit organization providing service-enriched affordable housing for low-income individuals and families across seven counties in rural central Washington. Our board and staff reflect the diverse interests of the community, including significant experience in agriculture and/or shared Hispanic/Latino heritage.

We offer a comprehensive range of affordable housing solutions, from safe, affordable rental units—serving farmworkers, seniors, people with disabilities, and formerly homeless individuals—to homeownership opportunities. Our portfolio includes 31 multifamily properties with over 1,000 units. For aspiring homeowners, we provide free bilingual counseling and a sweat equity program for first-time buyers, enabling families to purchase homes with income-based financing. More than 250 families have transitioned out of poverty and built assets through our programs.

CCHS fosters thriving communities by integrating educational, health, crime prevention, and economic initiatives into our housing developments. Residents benefit from services such as English classes, civic instruction, afterschool programs, and cultural events. We collaborate with local partners and advocate for affordable housing, empowering residents to engage at all levels of government.
