Dana Hanchin
With over 30 years of experience addressing the complex needs of lower-income communities and building affordable housing initiatives, Dana Hanchin serves as President and CEO of HDC MidAtlantic, a nonprofit affordable housing development organization headquartered in Lancaster, PA. HDC owns and/or manages over 3,300 apartments, providing housing that is welcoming, safe, and affordable to those with lower incomes, focusing on seniors, families, and individuals living with disabilities. Serving over 4,500 residents in 65 communities located in urban, suburban, and rural areas across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, HDC builds hope and opportunity for all residents to reach their full potential by creating, preserving, and strengthening diverse housing solutions and advocating for positive change.
Dana earned a B.A. in Political Science from Kent State University and a M.A. in Urban Studies from Temple University. She is also a graduate of Drexel University’s Leading for Change Fellowship program. Prior to HDC MidAtlantic, Hanchin served as Deputy Director for Philadelphia LISC. Throughout her career, she has worked for organizations dedicated to advancing affordable housing including the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, People's Emergency Center, Women's Community Revitalization Project, Reinvestment Fund, and the City of Philadelphia.
