Housing Partnership Network (HPN) is an award-winning collaborative of 120+ of the nation’s leading affordable housing and community development organizations. The Network includes housing developers, owners-operators, and lenders focused on producing and preserving rental and for-sale housing. Members work across the country, providing close to 500,000 low-wealth families with housing stability and wealth-building opportunities.
Building on more than a decade of impactful engagement in affordable housing policy, HPN launched the Housing Policy Innovation Center to better address the nation’s housing cost crisis and expand the policy impact of the HPN membership.
Policy discussions and media narratives are often disconnected from the real-world experience of housing practitioners who work every day to advance the mission and business of developing, operating, and financing affordable housing. There is a pressing need for policy solutions that reflect the realities faced by housing and community development practitioners, who work every day, knitting together public and private resources to produce public benefits with market discipline. The Housing Policy Innovation Center complements the existing ecosystem of housing policy advocacy with a practical, non-partisan approach that is anchored by insights from our member network.
