About Us

Founded in 1990 as a partnership between financial institutions and community organizations, MHIC has worked to fill a critical gap in meeting the credit needs of affordable housing and community development. MHIC offers a broad array of financial products. To date, MHIC has provided over $1.6 billion in financing to four hundred affordable housing and community development projects throughout New England, representing over 15,000 units of affordable housing and more than 2.7 million square feet of commercial space.
