The New Orleans Neighborhood Development Foundation (NDF) is founded on the belief that decent, affordable housing is central to the physical and economical health, productivity, and self esteem of the city’s residents. NDF helps low and moderate income families become homeowners by training, counseling and facilitating financing, with the specific aim of placing at least 100 low and moderate income families in their own home each year. Temporarily displaced by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the NDF reopened its offices in New Orleans in 2006 and is actively participating in the rebuilding efforts.
