The Home Ownership Center is a public/private collaborative founded in 1983 by local and state governments, major financial institutions, realtors, community development organization and others concerned with affordable sustainable homeownership. The mission of the Center is to enable lower income households to become successful long-term homeowners by providing comprehensive training through community-based organizations. The Center ensures standardized quality services by providers and does training of staff, centralized fund raising and marketing to support the delivery of services.
