Raza Development Fund (RDF) is a support corporation of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and was established in 1998 as the community development lending arm of NCLR. To date, more than 100 organizations serving Latino and other low-income communities nationwide have received technical assistance and loans from RDF totaling more than $100 million. RDF’s loan products include pre-development, construction or rehabilitation loans, and acquisition and mini-permanent loans for charter schools, community health centers, program facilities, and affordable housing. RDF has financed 59 single- and multi-family developments comprising more than 2,300 homes. In 2001, RDF created a charter school financing program that has made more than $20 million in permanent loans to eligible schools.
