Formed in 1990, Interfaith Housing Alliance is now the largest nonprofit housing developer in the largely rural western Maryland region. Interfaith Housing also focuses on advocacy, education, and promoting economic growth. Over the last ten years, Interfaith Housing has built or renovated over 700 homes and has 400 more in the pipeline. About half the units produced are rental apartments. Interfaith Housing has also completed over 100 homes in its Self-Help Housing Program.
