An Alliance of High-Performing Nonprofits
Over the last 20 years, in communities throughout the United States, a new breed of nonprofit housing enterprise has emerged that operates on a more sustainable scale and skillfully combines public and private resources to achieve maximum impact. Housing partnerships have substantial leadership from the private sector, close connections to city and state government, and deep roots in their communities. They are sound business enterprises committed to innovation and high performance.
Leaders from these organizations founded the Housing Partnership Network in 1990. Currently, the Network has 95 members, all of which are mature nonprofit housing partnerships with strong track records in development, financing, and management. Collectively, they have developed or financed more than 500,000 affordable homes, helped lower-income families improve and repair 175,000 homes, and served as homeownership counselors to 400,000 families.
