Rebuilding the Gulf Coast

Louisiana and Mississippi

Many Network members responded immediately to the devastation caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita, providing emergency housing and services to evacuees. And they didn't stop there. Collaborating with local civic, business, and real estate leaders, they launched the Gulf Coast Housing Partnership. Based in New Orleans, the new nonprofit has created innovative financing partnerships with national foundations and financial institutions with a goal to build 10,000 affordable homes in the region.
