Participation
Housing Partnership DIRECT is free to all members. Participants sign a simple participation agreement that sets parameters for confidentiality, purchasing responsibilities, peer exchange and information sharing. There are no obligations or binding exclusivity deals.
Once in DIRECT, members will be connected with our national vendors and accounts will be set up to take advantage of the negotiated discounts. Vendors will provide regular reports on purchases and savings.
In addition to offering discounts on building and maintenance supplies for property development and operations, we have created the DIRECT Marketplace, which offers 30+ cost savings programs on key business services (e.g., FedEx, Staples, ADP, and Sprint PCS). This ensures that DIRECT can provide significant savings to all Network members.
A critical component of this effort is peer exchange and collaboration. DIRECT brings together senior operations and development staff with their peers to discuss construction and operations issues, develop new product ideas and promote more efficient purchasing and procurement systems.
Currently, 20 Network member organizations representing 40,000 apartments are participating in DIRECT.
